Fear comes full circle in Bandipora
Mir TariqBandipora: Bandipora residents on Monday alleged that masked men supported by BSF and army are terrorising some villages of Bandipora.According to locals, some masked men with able support of army and BSF roam at night and throw stones at the residential houses. Monday evening these masked men at Hashmir Masjid attacked the Nimazis with iron nails. One person was injured. “The injured person raised hue and cry and that arrested our attention. We rushed to the spot and chased these men who were wearing mask and iron nails. As soon as they saw us they run away and to our amazement an army vehicle picked them up,” said a local on pleading anonymity fearing reprisal from the army. Locals allege that this is going on for the past one week. The terrorised village include, Ayat Mohallah, Ajaar, Garpora, Nowpora. The locals also alleged that the Station House Officer (SHO) didn’t pick up the phone when called. “When we went to the police station to complain, police didn’t open the door of the station,” they added.
