Mir TariqUpdated at 12:45 pmBandipora, Aug 26: A 16-year-old youth was stabbed to death by another youth here in Bandipora Monday night.One Farooq Ahmed son of Ghulam Muhammad Bhat of Lehipora Aloosa Bandipora was stabbed to death allegedly by Mehamud-ul-Hameed son of Abdul Ahmed Dar, a student of BA 1st year along with his accomplices last night.
"The killers had used a sharp knife to stab Farooq," locals said.Locals Tuesday morning found his body in the nearby fields and informed Police."We were informed by some people that Farooq was stabbed and his body was thrown in nearby fields. When we reached the fields, we found the mutilated body of Farooq that bore injuries of sharp-edged weapons," a resident of the area Ayaz Ahmed reported to the Police. Police said that the preliminary investigations have revealed that a love affair is said to be the cause of the murder."All the family members of the accused have fled from the area. We has started looking for the accused," Police said."Police has registered the report against the accused under section 302 of the RPC. He will be arrested soon along with his compnions," said SHO Bandipora Abdul Khalid Karnie.
