Mir Tariq Bandipora, June 20: Kashmir Social and Environmental Organization, an NGO organized a seminar on environmental protection in this North Kashmir district.
The seminar titled, 'Our Role towards Environmental protection' was organized in the premises of Eaglets Public School Bandipora. Dr Dilshada, a noted environmentalist was chief guest. Hundreds people including students, teachers and social workers attended the seminar. About 20 students read their papers on the occasion. While addressing the seminar, Dr Dilshada urged people to maintain the cosmic Symbiosis (takaful) in order to preserve the ecological balance of the universe.She said, "There is an immediate need to make people aware about the growing environmental degradation. People are consciously or unconsciously destroying the environment without knowing its impact”.Secretary KSAEO Iftikar Rashid also spoke on the occasion and thanked people for participating in the seminar.The awards were distributed among the first three top speakers. Sajad Ahmad of Eaglets School, Abdul Majeed Parsa of Al –Misbah School Papchan and Nusrat Naz of Middle School Sumlar bagged the first, second and third position respectively.
