An Army official told Rising Kashmir that after a tip-off about militants planning to carry out a Fidayeen attack in Arin area, troopers of 14 Rashtriya Riffles cordoned off the Arin area and launched searches. “As the searches were on militants present there opened fire on the search party which was retaliated triggering a gunfight.”The official said that in the ensuing gunfight the district commander of LeT Abdur Rehman alias Zia, alias Usman of Khud district Kasoor Sialkot Pakistan was killed."It is a big blow for LeT as two senior commanders of the outfit have been killed in past three days,” said Brigadier U K Gurung. He said that troopers have launched massive searches in the forests to track the associates of the slain commander.
