MEd students demand rescheduling of timing

Mir Tariq Srinagar, May 13The MEd students on Tuesday demanded rescheduling of timing of the examination, which commenced from today.The annual examination of Master of Education (MEd) through distance education have commenced from Tuesday.
The MEd students, who are appearing in the annual examination, urged on university authorities to change the timing from 2.30 pm to 1 pm. They said that the students hailing from Pulwama, Sopore, Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramulla will face hardships to return to their homes in the evening."We will face problems when we return from university to our homes in the evening," said Shabir Ahmed of Bandipora. He added, “Earlier, university had set the examination timing as 1 pm but when we reached the examination centers today, we were surprised to know that they had changed the timing from 1 pm to 2.30 pm”.“We will reach our homes during late hours and this will make our lives unsafe”, said Mehanaza Bano.Students complained that the authorities have changed the centers without any prior intimation to them. They demanded rescheduling of time from 2.30 pm to 1pm.When contacted Controller Examinations, Ali Muhammed Shah told Rising Kashmir, "The busy schedule of the respective departments forced us to change the timing and examination centers"He added, "In next few days, we will decide whether to change the timings or continue with the present timings".
